Case Overview

On August 14, 2025, Rebecca Haro reported her 7-month-old son, Emmanuel Haro, missing in Yucaipa, California. She told investigators she had been attacked and knocked unconscious outside a Big 5 Sporting Goods store while changing Emmanuel’s diaper in the parking lot. When she awoke, she said Emmanuel was gone.
Law enforcement quickly responded to the report but found no immediate evidence to support the abduction claim. In the days following, San Bernardino County Sheriff's investigators said there were “inconsistencies” in Rebecca’s story. They served search warrants at the family’s home in Cabazon, seized a vehicle, and began reviewing surveillance footage from multiple locations.
Authorities have publicly stated that the parents stopped cooperating with the investigation, a claim the father's attorney disputes. Meanwhile, no credible sightings of Emmanuel have been confirmed. A reported tip in Kern County led nowhere.
As of today, there has been no verified sighting of Emmanuel since before August 14, and law enforcement has not named any suspects.
My On-the-Ground Investigation
On August 19, I traveled to the Haro family’s neighborhood in Cabazon to begin my own investigation and search efforts.
Drone Survey Over Family Property
I conducted a drone survey over the Haro family property, scanning for signs of recent ground disturbance or any indicators of foul play. I was specifically looking for areas that may have been dug up or tampered with, consistent with evidence concealment. As of now, nothing definitive has been located, but several areas are being reviewed further.
Background Investigations
This case doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and I’ve taken time to investigate the backgrounds of the individuals involved:
Jake Haro, Emmanuel’s father, has a prior felony conviction for child cruelty stemming from a 2018 case in Riverside County.
Rebecca Haro’s brother is currently serving a prison sentence for the murder of his girlfriend — a fact that raises serious concerns about the surrounding family environment.
I’ve also reviewed statements from the grandmother, who insists the family would never harm the child. But at this stage, words alone are not enough — especially when weighed against verified history.
Big 5 Sporting Goods: More Than Meets the Eye
I visited the Big 5 in Yucaipa, where Rebecca Haro claims the abduction took place. I spoke directly with employees and learned the following:
Rebecca had visited the store previously earlier this month, reportedly asking about surveillance footage due to a “break-in” to her car — a claim that was not verified.
This visit now looks suspicious in hindsight, possibly as an attempt to gauge what surveillance coverage the store had.
Although the Big 5 itself has limited exterior surveillance, I noticed two cameras mounted on the adjacent jewelry business next door, with good angles toward the parking lot. Whether that footage was captured and retained is unknown, but it’s an important piece of the puzzle.

🔎 Latest Update
I went to Cabazon today, where detectives and crime scene investigators searched through garbage outside the Haro home. The street was blocked off with patrol cars, and a forensic truck was on site. I also captured exclusive drone footage of the search from above, along with ground video of investigators at work.
